MyoDat contains a number of wizard interfaces to simplify many common tasks.

One such wizard is the Hardware Profiles Wizard, which guides you quickly and easily through the hardware setup procedure for a new study, allowing you to rapidly specify the types and placements of the transducers being used. Once configured, profiles can be recalled at any time, ready for the next measurement.

The wizard removes the need for detailed knowledge of the specification of transducer parameters. It is also able to warn novice users when their selections maybe inappropriate (selecting a slow sampling rate when using accelerometers for example).

Of course, for users who prefer direct configuration, an advanced page allows the selection of transducers from a list or the definition of bespoke transducer types.
