Overview Product Tour - Acquisition

MyoDat is primarily designed for the data capture and analysis of EMG. However, it can also display the results from any number of other physiological and physical transducers connected to our MT8, Data Logger or third-party equipment as well as any other analogue signal.

During acquisition, a 'live preview' screen displays a real-time representation of the data about to be captured. This allows a quick check that hardware and sensors are functioning correctly but more importantly where sEMG is concerned, it allows you to ensure a good clean signal from the muscle belly is being recorded.

Having configured a hardware profile, MyoDat is aware of the transducer types being used and is able to act accordingly. For example, in the case of an electrogoniometer, MyoDat will prompt you to place the subject in the neutral position so it can remove any offsets automatically.

There is no limit to the duration of recording other than available hard disk space and MyoDat supports a range of sampling rates dependent on the acquisition source/card being used. Though possible, you need no longer specify the test duration beforehand as the test can be stopped manually when desired. And of course, as you would expect, acquisition can be configured to start manually or by the use of triggers.

MyoDat is available for use with a PCI or PCMCIA acquisition card and so is suitable for use on both desktop and laptop PCs.
