FORCE
PLATE BERTEC force plates are six component load transducers which measure the three orthogonal components of the resultant force acting on the platform, and the three components of the generated moment in the same orthogonal co-ordinate system. The point of application of the force and the couple acting on the platform can be readily calculated from the measured force and moment components. The base of the platform is made out of rugged cast aluminium, on which four precision load transducers are mounted. The top plate is built out of either cast aluminium (type A), or an aluminium honeycomb composite sandwich structure (types H, HT and S). A wide range of sizes of force plates are available. Also custom platforms can be built to users specifications. Convenient balancing and auto-zeroing circuitry enables the whole line of BERTEC platforms to be operated on any flat surface, thus eliminating special mounting requirements. Accessible anchor points are located at the base of all force plates. Custom mounting plates can be ordered and fabricated when required. |
| SIGNAL
CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER Each platform includes a pre-amplifier mounted inside the force plate. The pre-amplifier improves the signal-to-noise ratio and permits the use of long connector cables. The main amplifier is rack mountable, has a wide range of user selectable gains, six low-pass filter ranges, and an automatic bridge zeroing capability. The auto-zeroing capability allows for zeroing offset loads up to the full range of force plate. The output signals can be conveniently monitored through individual BNC connectors and/or via a separate DB-25 output connector. |
