Pro-Vec Plus is a data acquisition and analysis software package that will work with any commercial platform such as Kistler, AMTI or Bertec and is capable of collecting data from either one or two platforms simultaneously. The software has a calibration matrix so that cross talk errors can be minimised. Pro-Vec Plus also allows video data to be superimposed so that real time video vectors can be displayed and captured. The data can be redisplayed using a standard VCR with jog shuttle controls to analyse the gait frame by frame. Up to 9 cameras can be used although data is only displayed one camera at a time.

Pro-Vec Plus has real time biofeedback facilities so that co-ordination and balance training can be given to patients whilst making detailed analysis of their progress.

For clarity, these screenshots show raw data collected from 1 platform only. The data displayed is from a Bertec platform and shows Fx, Fy, Fz, Mx, My, Mz. Also displayed are two cursors, and the corresponding values for each graph at the point of the cursors.

Other screenshots show Ax, Ay, Centre of Pressure, Work, Velocity, Power, Friction, Total Reaction Force and Total Reaction Moment.

Vector Profiles can be displayed either as standard x/y graphs to display the classical double humped profile, or as a 3D graphical display. Using the cursor keys, you can rotate the platform to view the vector in any desired orientation.

The software can treat two platforms as 2 separate instruments, or can combine them to create one large virtual platform. This means that should a subject’s foot cross from one platform onto another, the data can be reconstructed to combine the two platforms into a single larger platform.

This page demonstrates some of the real time biofeedback facilities in the program. The target area is selectable by the operator to make the balance test more or less difficult. The stored data can also be replayed either frame by frame or in real time, for closer inspection. A gaussian graph of the changes in the balance of the subject can be displayed to show the degree of stability and any skew indicates the direction where balance is impaired.

Pro-Vec Plus displays a series of numerical protocols that have been automatically calculated. Protocols are available for Gait, Balance, Co-ordination, Stability and Power. Statistical analysis is included so that detailed analysis on several tests is possible. Pro-Vec Plus can combine data or compare data as required.

Pro-Vec Plus is MBM (Modular Biomechanical Measurement) compatible so that with this software you are able to combine Force Platform data with emg data from the MT8 Radio Telemetry System with Myo-Dat Plus software package and also with the Kinemetrix motion analysis system. It is also possible to combine any MBM software packages with many of the commercial iso-kinetic instruments.
