MIE's Myo-Sense

This small, lightweight monitor may be worn by employees while they perform their workplace activities or by patients either at home or in the hospital.

With the sensors placed on the appropriate muscles, Myo-Sense will produce a tone proportional to the tension generated by that muscle group. Training of a muscle or group of muscles can be achieved to strengthen them. Alternatively, stress related pain, such as back aches and temporal mandibular joint pain from grinding the teeth caused by muscle tension, can be eliminated by training the subject to relax. This unique instrument contains a built in speaker for demonstration and a small external earpiece for individual use. It also has a 10 LED bar display to visually indicate muscle activity so that the indiviual can be monitored by the therapist. Using Myo-Sense allows the subject and therapist to see and hear when a muscle is being stressed and thus learn to adopt comfortable postures. Myo-Sense comes complete with a pocket clip, rechargeable battery and battery charger.
